Game Stats :

Recaps :

(by Mike Gastonguay) - As a long-time Ducks fan, it was great to see this win. The Ducks have not given me, or any of their other fans, much to look forward to in the post season, but they gave me the satisfaction of a win over my hometown Bruins and I'll take it! A majority of the game's scoring was found in the first period. The period closed with 3-1 Ducks lead. Ducks goalie, Guy Hebert played consistanly while Bruins goalie, Byron Dafoe, had major difficulty. Dafoe allowed 3 goals in 9 shots. Dafoe settled in during the second period while Hebert got lucky. The second period was more physical and the Refs were shaky. The thrid period was a battle for position with the Bruins scoring another goal. Late in the period, Paul Kariya scored his 30th goal of the season to nail the Bruins coffin. The Ducks win 4-2 in regulation.
